How to choose the right location

I am often asked to help choose the best location for a photo shoot. I like to start by thinking outside the box a little... Sometimes families have access to unique locations through their friends and networks. A cool hotel? A stadium? Perhaps a boat? Maybe an awesome view at the building that they work in? Other times, I like to ask a few questions to help guide the decision a bit such as, "What does your family like to do as family?" or "Where do you enjoy spending time together?" These questions can help us find a location that is meaningful to your family, after all, it will be in your photos so you should like what you see! This guide provides examples of some of my favorite go-to spots around the St. Louis/ St. Charles area. I hope these ideas help you to find your ideal location for our next family session.
